Driving home from the gym this morning I was flipping channels on the radio and came across two DJ’s talking about Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. The conversation was focused on the state of their marriage. Apparently a moving truck was spotted in front of their house this weekend and that added fuel to the fire they are breaking up. Listening to this my first thought was, “who cares”. Have you ever noticed some people spend more time focused on the details of other people’s lives instead of focusing on their own life? These tend to be the same people who aren’t happy with their career, relationships or their future.
Choose instead to feed your mind with stories of people that propel you to do more and become more. The October issue of SUCCESS magazine featured a story on Tyler Perry. You may know him as the creator of Diary of a Mad Black Woman, the Madea series and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. The little boy born into poverty has become the most unlikely power broker in Hollywood. It was a long, slow journey with countless failings along the way but Tyler never gave up on his dream. The article is well worth reading and shows the meaning of success combined with significance.
Who or what are you focusing on? Jim Rohn said “If you don’t like how things are, change it! You’re not a tree.” I believe in you. Until next time………………
