“Confidence doesn’t find you, it’s the result of doing something big.” 

Contrary to what you might think, Sandra Yancey didn’t start eWomenNetwork because she liked networking. She started it because she saw a way to solve a problem for introverts (herself included) who didn’t like crowds and attending events.

From its start above Sandra’s garage in 2000, eWomenNetwork has expanded to six countries and 600,000 members. Men never fear as you are also welcome.

In this episode, Sandra shares insights for introverts and extroverts including the three E’s to open up a conversation:

  • Example – “Give me an example of your ideal customer. What do they look like and what is their problem are they looking to solve?”
  • Explain – “What’s your biggest business challenge? What have you already tried?”
  • Expand – “What are you trying to accomplish and who is a potential strategic introduction for you?”

You’ll also learn the importance of doing people math and the power of making the ask. In fact, that’s how she got her fellow Dallas resident, Mark Cuban, to come to her office to meet.
